C&D Group Partners with Three Innovation Laboratories to Build a Technology Innovation Ecosystem
2026/10/12

On September 15, C&D Industrial Research Institute signed strategic cooperation agreements with Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory, Xiang’an Biomedicine Laboratory and Fujian Ocean Innovation Center to accelerate the development of a technology innovation ecosystem and deepen the integration of technological and industrial innovation.

The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between real-world industry needs and cutting-edge research outcomes by creating a platform that brings together industry, universities, research institutions, and investment capital. United by a shared commitment to innovation and progress, the parties will work closely to tackle key technological challenges, commercialize research outcomes, and develop talent, with the goal of delivering tangible results.
Ahead of the signing ceremony, C&D Industrial Research Institute was officially inaugurated, together with its three specialized research centers: C&D Supply Chain Research Center, C&D Urban Research Center, and C&D Culture, Commerce, Tourism, Sports and Exhibitions Research Center. Xu Xiaoxi, Party Secretary and Chairman of C&D Group, addressed the ceremony. He said their establishment was a key step in implementing the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and the plenary sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, supporting Xiamen’s urban transformation and development, and advancing the Group’s “Dual Drivers, Five-Dimensional Enhancement” strategy. It also marked an important step toward building a more systematic and specialized industrial research system while cultivating new growth drivers.
Building on the new partnerships, the institute and its research centers will deepen collaboration with laboratories, government agencies, industry associations, industrial alliances, and think tanks. By drawing on their respective areas of expertise and connecting research more closely with industry, they aim to generate sustained momentum for high-quality business and regional development.
